2013 BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle Odds

Bet On Hurricane Fly at Irish Champion HurdleThe BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle is taking place this Saturday at the Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin.  Hurricane Fly has won the race for the past two years and is a big favourite in this one, but there are 4 other horses in the race that will look to surprise and reach the finish line before the defending champ.

2013 Irish Champion Hurdle Odds

You can already bet on the winner of the Irish Champion Hurdle race at Bet365.com.  Here are the odds:

  • Hurricane Fly -350
  • Binocular +450
  • Thousand Stars +800
  • Captain Cee Bee +2500
  • One Cool Shabra +10000

Each-way betting is also available.  This involves half of your bet being applied to the horse finishing in first or second position in the race for 1/4 of the odds displayed above.  Bet365 is offering the best odds online for all of the horses except Captain Cee Bee (who isn’t a likely winner here).

Hurricane Fly is the overwhelming favourite to win this race and for good reason.  He already defeated Captain Cee Bee by an impressive twelve lengths at the Morgiana Hurdle in November and won the December Festival Hurdle by seven lengths just a month ago.

Binocular will be Hurricane Fly’s main competition and it could well come down to a battle between the two as this article suggests.  Binocular has many Grade 1 race wins under his belt and will look to pull off the upset against Hurricane Fly this Saturday.
